I found several great projects for kids’ rooms on TLC today, each with photos, instructions, and free downloadable pdfs of the stencil patterns so you can make your own stencils. Take a look here: How to Stencil Kids’ Rooms.
When I saw these projects, I thought they looked familiar, and sure enough, they come from a book entitled Stenciling Kids’ Rooms, which includes projects for children’s rooms by stencil designers and artists such as Merilee Sawusch, Nancy Tribolet, and Donna Hrkman. If you’d rather not cut your own stencils, buy the book, because it comes with pre-cut versions of all stencils used. Right now it is available on both Amazon.com and eBay at bargain prices.
[Editor’s note: As of 11/19/2020, this page on the Publisher’s website no longer exists. I’ve updated the link to point to a copy on the Internet Archive. PDF downloads of at least some of these projects are still available on the Stencil Designs page of the publishers’ site.]
