Updating a backsplash provides a great opportunity to use stencils. Here are two examples of kitchen backsplash areas that utilize faux tiles and raised stencil designs.
These faux tiles, created by Merilee Sawusch, were done with Behr Texturizing Paint (smooth), then a brass stencil was used for the palm trees.
These existing real tiles no longer matched the new Tuscan decor of the homeowner’s kitchen.
Delta PermEnamel Paints were used to update the small flower tiles to coordinate with the Tuscan theme and this single overlay olive vine design from Royal Design Studios was adapted to fit the space.
