Moving Outdoors: Garage Mural
Tammi Latham of Matilda Jane Originals created this fun mural on the side of a garage.
This project was done using stencils from several sources including L.A. Stencilworks and Nature's Vignettes. The background was done with latex house paints and the entire mural was sealed.

This is great fun and beautifully done! I’m beyond curious to know what was used to seal it. We did a Japanese style painting on the side of our garage that borders our Japanese garden, and I fear it’s not long for this world without sealant!

Tammi doesn’t remember which sealer she used, but our StencilTalk blogger Carol suggests Golden’s MSA Varnish, which contains UV protection. You can also find detailed instructions for protecting outdoor murals on Golden’s website, here:
