hi
I'm currently restoring an old house and was wondering if there are any pictures of ceilings done by stencils that I can use to inspire me.
Also, I am wondering where i can find stencils that are period related to my house.  Not arts and crafts or art deco.
I really want this ceiling to look professional. I am an intermediate stenciler and feel confident that I can do it, but I'm not sure where to start.
The ceiling currently has oak coffered beams stained dark.
I thought about wallpapering but it's very expensive and stenciling is more custom with colors.

For period Victorian stencils, try epoch designs.  They have some fabulous ceilings.

Royal Design Studio also has some beautiful ceiling designs. Revelation Stencils has a ceiling collection with several medallion designs.

Try our search engine for other ceiling stencils, or even Victorian Ceiling Stencils.

Working on a ceiling can be hard on your body, so wear a soft cervical collar to support your neck (available at drug stores and medical rehab supply places) and plan to take frequent breaks. You may also want to rent scaffolding.

Good luck, and please share pictures when you're finished!
