Hi everyone, I’ve been hearing a lot about stenciling but I actually don't know exactly how it works!!! But that didn't stop me from admiring it... is there a link or whatever that can illustrate it easily for beginners? Thnx.

Sandra,

Most of the online instructions don't seem to have photos.  Guess that's something we need to put together for StencilSearch.com.

Here is a link that is pretty good, although a bit hard to read with the centered text:  Buckingham Stencils.  It appears to be an excerpt from one of Sandra Buckingham's books, any of which I highly recommend.  You might want to check for them in your local library.

Hands-on classes are the best, of course, but can be hard to find, so a stenciling book or video can be a good alternative.

It's very important to use decent quality stencil brushes and to remember to OFFLOAD.  Stenciling is a drybrush technique, and nothing will take the fun out of it faster than run unders!  I think the stencil cremes are a little easier for beginners, because they aren't as runny, and don't dry out on you so fast.

Good luck and Happy Stenciling!
