Stencling We Love: Day 9
Chris Smith had been collecting Latin sayings for some time. One day, she took a good look at her once plain Laundry/Powder Room and knew where she could finally let loose with her creativity!
After selecting 30-40 different sayings, four different fonts, and several different sizes for the sayings, Chris paid a visit to her favorite local sign shop. Here, the file was put into a computer and the sayings were cut out on masking vinyl. Each saying is written in Latin, with a loose English translation below it.
The first quote that you see upon entering the room is “Say, you sure drink a lot!”. Next to the sink is “hand washes hand”, and by the TP roll you will find “always wear underwear”. “How do you get your hair to do that”, “Royally screwed”, “Go with the flow”, “Crazy Life”, and even one for her husband (an avid golfer) -“Isn’t that lucky, my ball just rolled out of the rough and onto the fairway” are just a few of the phrases found in this fun room.
While doing laundry is never exciting, this clever room sure must bring a smile to everyone's face.
